Our Pruvé bakery history started in 1968 in a traditional bakery in Amsterdam. A feeling for bakery requirements and total commitment to product quality were the principles which started the business, these are still adhered to today.

Today Pruvé is part of Smilde Bakery, the company behind various bakery brands all dedicated to the bakery and patisserie trade. With factories in France and The Netherlands, it gives us a balanced offering from a perspective of European taste and geographical logistics. Moreover, we are part of Royal Smilde, with its headquarters in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. An independent family business, founded in 1863 with a rich history and tradition in food. Other products within the Group portfolio include salads, sauces, margarines, oils and fats, each being underpinned by highly specialized production plants in Continental Europe.
